HTeamClub 1 - 7 Team

Overcast weather free of rain made for a turnout of 1041 at HTeamClub's Arena today. Filip Szczudło was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Måns Forsquist and Danilo Benati. The following players had been selected: Spinucci - Grisi, Davì, Desio, Cattin - Rechichi, De Rocco, Stasi, Memoli - Fiocchetta, Smerilli.

The following players took the field: Franceschilli - Piròli, Pietronero, Garavaglia - Coquel, Negro, Stirnimann, Panarelli, Blánquez Pérez - Shestoperov, Sali.

HTeamClub started the game in a 4-4-2 formation, whereas One Eye Team lined up in a 3-5-2. After 2 minutes, Team put themselves up 0 - 1, as Juan Carlos Blánquez Pérez finished off a play from the left with a real rocket. After 10 minutes, HTeamClub's Benito Fiocchetta successfully broke up a pass with his face. Instinctively, he got up again only to unintentionally use his now-throbbing schnozz to break up a second pass. As he was carted off for a concussion check, Marco Cornici ran onto the field to take his place. With Benito Fiocchetta no longer on the field, Angelo Davì was the new set pieces taker. The visitors' Alexander Shestoperov took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 16 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Team. Manuel Grisi behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 23 minutes as he gave the ball away to Juan Carlos Blánquez Pérez. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Claudio Panarelli increased the visitors' lead by volleying in a pass from the right. 0 - 3. The game had been going for 29 minutes when Vitaliano Sali broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 4 for Team, much to the home crowd's dismay. Almost all the way down at the corner flag, Team's Juan Carlos Blánquez Pérez somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for Vitaliano Sali, who scored for 0 - 5. The home crowd was not impressed when Angelo Negro came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 31 minutes. Team were now up 0 - 6. With 32 minutes played, Team's Danijel Stirnimann received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. Team's Dimitri Coquel was shown a yellow card after 33 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 0 - 6 was the halftime score. Team did a good job holding on to the ball, with 59 percent of possession. We'll be back after these interminable commercial messages.

50 minutes into the game, Team worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. With 53 minutes played, Team put themselves up 0 - 7 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Dimitri Coquel. The referee showed Team's Vitaliano Sali the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A swift counter-attack by HTeamClub resulted in a free kick that Angelo Davì elegantly bent into the goal - 1 - 7! After 60 minutes HTeamClub's Tiziano Spinucci contracted a slight foot injury, but said he could still finish the game. As the match nears its end, the referee deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 1 - 7. Team set the tempo, maintaining 60 percent of possession.

Most important HTeamClub player was Marco Cornici. Speaking of stinking up the place, Angelo Davì sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. Team's best player was Vitaliano Sali. Good thing Angelo Negro isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance.
